THEATER BLUES: a YuiParu FanFic #14

Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the characters. I just borrowed them from their rightful owners for the sake of having some fun writing and reading. This is my first attempt in writing a fan fiction. I’ve never written anything like this before and I am relatively new in this fandom. So, there is a good chance that the people involved may be a bit out of character. Thinking that it is set in an alternate universe where one of the girls was not an idol, the Iwate Incidents had never happened, and LINE had not yet been a popular way of communication may help. Regarding ratings, I’ve never written anything that can be rated more than PG-13. However, the story does portray a same-sex attraction between girls. So, if you’re not comfortable or not allowed to access such thing wherever you are, please do feel free to stop reading here. Reader discretion advised.

THEATER BLUES: An AKB48’s YuiParu Fanfic
by Arch DeNight

Chapter 14—Heartbreak

Months had passed since Yuihan’s sudden disappearance. There were times when Paruru really wanted to see her again, but she could not. There were times when she really wanted to at least hear her voice again, or text her. But, she cursed herself when she realized that she did not even know Yuihan’s phone number or her email address. She knew that she could probably get them from Kawaei. But, she never asked. Even if she had them, what should she say to her? What could she say? Would Yuihan even answer her call? Would she even reply her text? Would Paruru herself even have the courage to contact her?

They had never been really close to each other. Even though they did consider each other as friends, it was actually just random encounters, one after another. Whatever happened before, the thing Paruru knew about the older girl was next to nothing. She thought that Yuihan must have not really known anything about her either. Could they really call each others as friend, then?

And then, there was that kiss…

That was certainly not what friends would do, was it? Even though it is usual for members to be kind of clingy or touchy feely with one another, that kiss was certainly something Paruru had never given to anyone else. Especially not with the feelings she had towards the girl.

“This feelings that I have… Should I just forget about them and continue on…?” Paruru muttered to herself, “Will I even be able to forget them if I try…?”

It was not easy. But, Paruru finally admitted that she might have just experience her first love. Yes. Love. Not a simple admiration. Not a mere attraction. She had experienced admiration and attraction towards other people before. This one was different. No admiration, no attraction, would hurt this much, she thought. She then had a bitter smile because she had just realized that this might mean that she just had her first heartbreak as well.

“Paruru, are you ready?” asked Shimada.

They were at NTV dressing room, getting ready for a taping for another episode of AKBingo.

Hai,” she replied.

“We’re going to play a muchaburi dodgeball against the girls from Namba today, aren’t we?” Nakamura Mariko asked.

“Arghh… I really hate muchaburi…! They have Sayanee and some others who really hate to lose so it would surely be bad,” Miyu sulked.

“Then, we should just try our best not to lose, then, right?” Shimada smiled, “Let’s go?”

Paruru just followed the others out of the dressing room in silence.
